Hi guys, I am currently trying to install/update/upgrade Debian on my C3700 (as a test/training exercise). I am attempting to use the instructions on < http://wiki.parisc-linux.org/Debian_Ports_Installation >. I am doing this on a spare HD so I can mess with it as much as I like. The basic install from the CD is painless and straightforward. At the moment I cant do an "apt-get update". ftp.debian-ports.org appears to be flakey. It pings OK but gives 229 errors. ftp.parisc-linux.org does not respond at all.
Any pointers as to what needs to be done? Hopefully it is just an embarrassing stuff-up on my part. Any assistance would be appreciated. Cheers, Geoff.
