I was very interested in trying out the Hurd, so I did. Besides having minor problems (downloaded the cross-install with words wrapped for long lines, not noticing that the "easy guide" refers to the unzipped "gnumach" and "serverboot"), everything went well till it says:
Hurd server bootstrap: ext2fs.static[hd0s2] exec init proc auth. /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: No such file or directory /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: Using temporary console /tmp/console /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: Can not execute /libexec/runsystem: No such file or directory /hurd/init: /libexec/console-run exited with status 5 But: The file is there! Help me!!! (I want to see it all...) (And please, in private mail as well!)
