Some of Hurd's features---I'm thinking of "userspace" filesystems here---would make jobs like the GNOME project much easier. A finished Hurd-based system would be much better for typical end-user desktop use than a Linux-based system, given proper GUI (bletch) support. -- Adam Sampson [EMAIL PROTECTED]
