I feel kind of ashamed for asking such a simple question, but is it possible to switch terminals as Alt-Fn does in Linux? It's rather frustrating only having one terminal to work with and I haven't gotten X working yet. Also, su doesn't really seem to work (I get the error "su: can't set groups: Operation not permitted") which means I have to log out and log back in a few times if I want to do something as root.
