If you want to install the Hurd, then please use the 32 bit image. It is much more stable. The 64 bit image has huge stability issues. I would only recommend running the 64 bit image in a vm at the moment. Also take a look at this page: https://darnassus.sceen.net/~hurd-web/faq/drivers/ And ask in #hurd before you buy any hardware.
