installation log lists the correct version of hurd which you uploaded 2 days
ago (thank you!):

Setting up hurd:hurd-i386 (1:0.9.git20260527-2) ...

But when booting I still get this:

INIT: Entering runlevel: 2
Using makefile-style concurrent boot in runlevel 2.
xkbcommon: ERROR: couldn't find a Compose file for locale "C" (mapped to "C")
unexpected ACK from keyboard
Starting OpenBSD Secure Shell server: sshd.
getty[640]: Bad syntax

Debian GNU/Hurd forky/sid testvm console

getty[645]: Bad syntax
getty[648]: Bad syntax
login: getty[650]: Bad syntax
getty[652]: Bad syntax
getty[654]: Bad syntax
getty[656]: Bad syntax
getty[658]: Bad syntax
getty[660]: Bad syntax
getty[662]: Bad syntax
INIT: Id "C0" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

Do you have an idea how I can debug this?

I noticed that on Linux, /usr/sbin/getty is a symlink to agetty. On Hurd,
/usr/sbin/agetty is ten times the size of /usr/sbin/getty.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
