Not directly. Both translation sets are currently disconnected. tzdata material was however filled with translations coming from D-I when its maintainers made the timezone names translatable recently. However, at this very moment, new timezones would have to be translated in both D-I's tzsetup and tzdata. Of course, automating this would be an interesting goal to have..:-)
