As you may have heard, Acrobat 7 for x86 linux is available from
Adobe's ftp site
(ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/7x/7.0/enu/).  I'm happy to
say it works just fine on Debian/ia64 linux, though you do have to
install a few extra libs into /emul/ia32-linux (and I ended up copying
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0 and /usr/lib/pango as well).

On a 1.5GHz Madison with ia32el, startup time is quite good (about 2-3
seconds) and page viewing is quite fast and the fonts are rendered
better.
