Hi,
is there a wiki/document that fully track the issues with packaging
newer gradle version or if someone could describe what the latest status is?
I see there were some attempts at v6, v8, v9, all apparently stalled or
given up.
The current situation seems untenable and not having newer versions
basically stalls all Debian Java packages where upstream apps moved on
to gradle 4+.
I tried to pull in a new upstream version of a Java app packaged in
Debian (now requires v9) and stepped into this minefield.
Has vendoring/bundling been considered at this point?
Should we start patching packages to rewrite gradle to maven?
