Hi Julien,
A heads-up so our packages do not get in each other's way. I am packaging
Jackson 3 (3.1.7) for scaladoc, the Scala 3 documentation tool, and that
includes the YAML module of the 3.x line of the same upstream repository,
as a new source jackson3-dataformats-text
(https://bugs.debian.org/1149815).
It does not clash with your 2.x package: the source is jackson3-*, the
binary is libjackson3-dataformat-yaml-java, the jar is
jackson3-dataformat-yaml.jar, and the Maven group is
tools.jackson.dataformat. Nothing uses the libjackson2-* or
com.fasterxml.jackson.* names.
Two related things you may find useful:
- libfastdoubleparser-java installs POMs whose version is still
${revision}, so its reverse dependencies get an unparsable
${maven:Depends}. A fix is in
https://salsa.debian.org/java-team/fastdoubleparser/-/merge_requests/1.
- Jackson 3's YAML module uses snakeyaml-engine, not SnakeYAML like the
2.x line, so our packages do not share that dependency either.
If you are still working on jackson-dataformats-text 2.x and want to
coordinate on anything, I am happy to.
Thanks,
Juan
