I have made Debian Jr. live CD iso and usb key (.img) files available for download for GNOME, KDE and XFCE:

They are built against sid, not etch, using scm versions of live-helper and casper. All of my development effort to date has focused on these two packages, not on the applications or customization of the desktop itself.
