Hey, On my desperate search for a decent music player, I thought I'd give Noatun a try. Installed noatun and noatun-plugins, but right when I try to start it, it crashes. Starting it from a terminal yields this message:
noatun: WARNING: Couldn't instanciate artsobject Noatun::Session. (This is normally caused by a broken package or compiling kdemultimedia in a --prefix different from arts. It may also be from two conflicting packages, so uninstall every arts/artsd package you have installed and try againe. noatun: ERROR: Communication problem with noatun, it probably crashed. KCrash: Application 'noatun' crashing... I tried reinstalling some packages that came to mind, but the problem remains. So I just wondered: is this worthy of a bug report? I can't say I have the knowledge to screw things up on purpose, and can't remember having done so without that knowledge. OTOH, there's no similar bug in the BTS, which seems strange (I can't be the only one experiencing problems with stock Debian packages, can I?). Could anyone give me a clue as to why this is happening and what I might've done to it that causes this behavior? Greets, Tom -- np: Autechre - Rsdio (ogg)
