hey, I've committed[1] a patch to our 2.6.8 tree on trunk that fixes an issue with cache coherency that's needed for Intel's new ia64 chip - codename "montecito". This is a backport from Linus' bk tree. It has been picked up by some of the commercial distros, and is in a custom d-i I built for HP.
