Anyway, even though the source of the problem seems to be somehow related to KDE, it is still unclear why the multiple " [drm:intel_prepare_page_flip] *ERROR* Prepared flip multiple times" messages appearing in dmesg, are converted into totaly illegible "ssssssssssssssssssssss" messages in /var/log/messages.
