FYI, the latest upload of the Linux kernel package still FTBFS on sh4 and it has been so for over two years now [1]. Changing the default compiler to gcc-4.8 which has the m4-nofpu configuration enabled will fix at least the current reason for the kernel package to FTBFS as this configuration is not available on gcc-4.7.
