Hello Micha, Subsequently I filed a bug report to debian bugs and learnt something new. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=390361 In a nutshell, 1. hardware acceleration *is* enabled. 2. glxgears is not really an appropriate tool for checking this.
