This appears to be a hacked-up IBMPL/CPL. That license has been discussed several times on this list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2001/12/msg00141.html ("CPL 0.5") http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2004/05/msg00597.html ("IBMPL 1.0") and most recently, http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/01/msg00297.html ("CPL 1.0") Like the other incarnations, this: requires I notify somebody if I discover something (3.6), which is unacceptable (see "desert island", "chinese dissident" discussions); requires I waive my right to a jury trial (11.4), which is insane; and requires that I archive the source to any distributed binaries for all time, since 3.1.b.iv) does not appear to give the option to accompany the source with the binary (to eliminate the "send it later option") and gives no time window ("within one year") Some people will disagree with some of the above, but I'm having a hard time getting past them all. -- Glenn Maynard -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
