Scripsit Frank Belew <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > On the NSS/PSM home page at iPlanet, the following clause can be found > ----- > PSM software contains encryption technology that is subject to the > U.S. Export Administration Regulations and other U.S. law, and may > not be exported or re-exported to ineligible countries or to persons [etc etc]
To see this quote in context, see e.g. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/src/download.html I think it is clear that on that page the export-control notice is separate from the description of the code's licensing status. (They are separated by an apology for not offering CVS access in addition to tarballs). I think it is safe to consider it simply informational; the page and the in-file boilerplate found there states explicitly that the code is dual-licensed under the user's choice of MPL or GPL. > is all of this DFSG free, IMO it has no influence on the DFSG status. > and able to be put in main by a US citizen? Don't know. -- Henning Makholm "Gå ud i solen eller regnen, smil, køb en ny trøje, slå en sludder af med købmanden, puds dine støvler. Lev!"
