Well, didn't AT&T believe it was enforceable in US back with Net/2 (I believe it was) [ AT&T tried to sue Berkely for distributing BSD including code copyrighted by AT&T. Berkely counter-sued AT&T for not mentioning Berkely in AT&T's manuals. They came to a settlement where a lot of code was removed from BSD ]
