In the US; of course, 70 years after death of the author isn't particularly global, either. Several nations don't recognize international copyright; others range from life + 25 years (e.g. Sudan) throught life + 50 years (e.g. Berne convention nations; Canada, Australia, Poland, etc.) through life + 70 years (e.g. EU nations) and up to life + 80 years (e.g. Columbia).
