Dear mailing list users, I maintain a package which is licensed under a 3-clause BSD license while my debian directory is currently licensed under the GPL-2+, as I've picked up a patch from the next upstream release I also made a seperate paragraph for this patch (debian/patches/ax_path_milter-flags-fix). Some time ago it was mentioned on the mentors mailing list that in order to ease maintainace of Debian packages and make it easy to forward patches upstream the debian directory should be under the same license as the upstream package. Well now my question is if this solution could/should also be applied to my package? For a better overview I attached my debian/copyright file as well as the upstream license file and would ask for some clarification on this issue.
