SPRING FORWARD! CLEANING TIPS & IDEAS

Now that we all have had a week to get used to the time change, it's time to 
really spring forward and focus on getting ready for some warmer weather! For 
most of us, that means spring cleaning. If you're not sure where to start, 
follow our checklist and you'll be enjoying a cleaner space very soon. Before 
you begin, it might be worth your while to make your own cleaning solutions 
using simple ingredients that can be found around the house. Not only is it 
"greener", it's also inexpensive. Something as simple as ammonia is great for 
washing walls, windows, floors, sinks and tile. Vinegar is best when trying to 
remove mold, mildew, grime and grease. When it comes to sterilizing, though, 
bleach is ideal. It's important that you never mix bleach with ammonia because 
it creates toxic fumes.

• Dust the ceiling, ceiling fan and light fixtures, along with any picture 
frames or artwork that is hanging on your walls. Remove all knick-knacks from
