The profits from book sales are going to Angel Tree, a division of Prison Fellowship Ministry, for the children of incarcerated parents and to Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry. At any one time in the United States there are approximately 2-million men and women in prison. In 2018 there were 278,942 eligible children assigned to receive a Christmas gift with their parents name written on the card. I have seen the faces of the children at an Angel Tree event, and it is a wonderful sight and a delightful experience to share in their anticipation, joy, and appreciation. Prison affects the entire family and community. Thankfully, there are 7,182-churches and organizations in the United States who are participating by purchasing gifts for children on behalf of their incarcerated parent.
