OK, so I'm embarking down path 2 (ubuntu with live-boot rather than
casper)). I had to make a couple of tweaks to live-build (I'll send a patch
once it works). I created an iso and am booting in qemu, but I get this
error at the end of the boot:

Begin: Mounting "/live/image/live/filesystem.squash" on
"//filesystem.squashfs" via "/dev/loop0" ... done
mount: mounting /live on /root/live failed: Invalid argument
Warning: Unable to move or bind /live to /root/live
...
run-init: nuking initramfs contents: Directory not empty
and then a kernel panic...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Corey
