Dear all, we have hundred of packages, and making sure that they are all comprehensively tagged takes time.
As discussed earlier, the Debtags are not a hierarchical structure, that is, field::biology:bioinformatics is not a child of field::biology. http://lists.debian.org/[email protected] In that sense, specialised tags are unnecessary complications unless they have a direct use. In our case, we have metapackages to guide our users to bioinformatics packages. Since we have a works-with::biological-sequence, I think I will start to go ahead and replace field::biology:bioinformatics by works-with::biological-sequence. Similarly, I am not using anymore the biology:: facet, that was created as a compromise at a moment where I did not understand Debtags well, and propose to delete them unless somebody uses them. Is everybody fine with this ?
