Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: wishlist Owner: Dmitry R <[email protected]>
Dear mentors, I am looking for review and an upload sponsor for my package qsm-pve-direct, initially targeting experimental/contrib: * Package name : qsm-pve-direct Version : 0.4.0+20261020-0exp1 Upstream author : Dmitry R <[email protected]> * URL : https://github.com/rdmitry0911/qsm-rd * License : GPL-3.0-or-later, AGPL-3.0-or-later, MIT/X11 * Section : contrib/net * ITP : https://bugs.debian.org/1151422 QSM streams QEMU D-Bus displays and optional LXC desktops to a browser using WebRTC, with software or optional hardware video encoding, audio and interactive input. Existing PVE authentication and permissions gate console access. The standalone implementation uses official Proxmox packages; pve-manager and qemu-server remain external runtime dependencies, which is why I propose contrib. Build dependencies are in Debian main. The source review release, signatures and validation are available at: https://github.com/rdmitry0911/qsm-rd/releases/tag/v0.4.0-debian-contrib-20261020-review2 Download the source with: dget -x https://github.com/rdmitry0911/qsm-rd/releases/download/v0.4.0-debian-contrib-20261020-review2/qsm-pve-direct_0.4.0+20261020-0exp1.dsc The release includes the project signing certificate. Primary fingerprint: BA99528182B7EADD0199B6986A09741B1DBEAEF2 These are project release signatures, not Debian Developer signatures. The release notes explain importing the checked public certificate into the source-verification keyring used by dget/dscverify. The package uses debhelper, generated shared-library dependencies, normal source packaging and hardening flags. It builds the LXC guest deb from the same source before embedding it in the optional host helper; no prebuilt release deb or network download is used during the build. Validation includes unprivileged builds with networking disabled on Debian 13 and current unstable, 19 passing CTest tests, clean Lintian source/binary checks, and a passing source-units autopkgtest on unstable. The upstream standalone release has separate browser/PVE runtime tests. The new debhelper maintainer-script integration still needs PVE lifecycle review; these clean-build checks are not a claim that a new Debian upload has been qualified on production PVE hosts. I would appreciate that review before an experimental upload. Project development is sponsored by Takt: https://taktcycles.com/ Takt is the project sponsor; I am seeking a Debian Developer upload sponsor. The implementation and packaging use AI assistance, disclosed in the source and ITP. I intend to maintain the package and respond to review and bug reports. Changelog: * Initial contrib packaging preview for review. (Closes: #1151422) * Build the media worker and host/guest profiles from source with debhelper. * Retain the external Proxmox runtime dependencies explicitly. Thanks, Dmitry
