Unfortunately, no, I didn't have the possibility. I uploaded hfsprogs to mentors.debian.net and it overwrote your package. I just got the patch from Gentoo, inspected it and saw that there is room for improvements. I think that some of those things should be sent upstream. I will try to contact people at Apple and see if they want patches. Otherwise, I think that we could, as a team, work together on this package to make it clean and have our own stack of patches. Upon calling utilities on amd64, I get the programs running up to a certain point. I will check this. I'm open to seeing other points where the package could be improved.
