Hello I did not know about the bug, but it seems to be know by upstream since 2011-08-15[0]. I sent my review of the problem (exact commit that introduced the regression and some "gdb debug" information) to upstream[1] There is a patch in the bug report, but was not accepted nor rejected by upstream, i am going to review it and try to updated/improve it tomorrow.
