Anyways, just some quick comments: - debian/stamp-patched should be removed - latest standards version is 3.9.5 - generally, you should aim to be more verbose in d/changelog ("Eliminiated various lintian errors" -> specify what lintian errors you fixed, and how they were fixed when appropriate) - DEP-3 requires you to say whether or not you've forwarded patches upstream (there's a "Forwarded:" header for that, where you can put in e.g. a link to upstream's bug tracker); please forward them upstream if you haven't already done so - your debian/rules can be greatly shortened if you use dh (take a look at some of the examples in dh(1) if you'd like to see how) - why build-depend on dpkg-dev (>= 1.16.2) and lsb-base?
