I talked to the upstream author and he will include most of the Debian
patches in his next release. I've prepared the new package that
addresses your comments and will upload it once the upstream author has
officially released the new version.

Also, your package was removed from mentors.debian.net (packages get
auto-removed every 20 weeks IIRC), so you'll need to re-upload your
package and re-open this bug if you are still seeking sponsorship.
