Hello, from a users point of view I would love to see a tiny performing DNS cache in Debian which is maintained upstream. However judging from the respective descriptions on the web I guess that deadwood should work as well as a djbdns fork. OTOH I wonder what would keep you as maintainer interested in taking care of two different packages doing basically the same job. You will soon find out that you like one better and will only use this one.
