Thanks for the fast response! I tried the new images, without additional kernel parameters. The segmentation fault doesn't come up anymore, but the second problem continues: Like before, the installation process runs up to the partitioner. The disk is prepartitioned, so I just have to set the filesystems and mount points: #1 primary 23.1 MB B F extr0 /boot #2 primary 131.6 MB K swap swap #3 primary 5.9 GB f ext3 / #4 primary 3.9 GB F ext3 /home After selecting "write to disk", install hangs by the message "Creating ext3 filesystem for / in partition #3 of IDE master (hda) ...". The process bar shows "0%" and does not move, I waited half an hour. A second try showed the same results. What can I do? Thanks! -- Pepillo
