I installed the http://www.colonel-panic.org/cobalt-mips/colo/colo-1.15.tar.gz a few days ago and had to do a simular fix to get my qube2 working again. The lines I put into default.colo:
mount hda1 load /vmlinux lcd "Booting Debian" execute root=/dev/hda2 console=ttyS0,115200 Other than that problem it boots ok. This was on a new sarge install I did last week.
