I am having trouble using apt-get to upgrade to libc6 version 2.3.2, which is a prerequisit for many other updates. The problem seems to stem from 2.3.2 failing because it says I'm running an old kernel, but even new installations using a network installation install 2.4.16, but libc6 2.3.2 wants kernel 2.4.22. How do I proceed? The suggested "apt-get -f install" doesn't help either.
