Compiling Kernel for mipsel (For Handheld)

Hi all;

Im trying to compile the last kernel 2.6, and i get a lot of errors. im
trying to download the release from mips-linux.org, but somethings apper
being in low speed. Well, im trying to do:

        - Linux kernel 2.4 or 2.6 on VR4120 (My nec 770)
        - Test the suport for video, touchscreen and ports
        - Test programs on it

My problems start on kernel build. As said on [EMAIL PROTECTED], the
tools in bootsplash (debian packages) is too old.One time i have tryed
to compile. Binutils is ok, but gcc and glibc doenst compile. ucLibc
doesnt compile too, so, im cant create the baisc tools.

Some one can help?
