Because it does not translate well to any language I know, including my
native tongue (unless you translate it as "Web news"). Hmm... That gave
me an idea.

 xchat, gaim, mutt

 Network/Web News
 Web feed (RSS, Atom etc.)
 and podcast aggregators.
