Did you verify that it is actually using the proper version? You need to make sure 100% that this version fixes it while the libffi.so.8.1.0 from the Debian package causes the crash. Also, can you check whether passing "--disable-exec-static-tramp" makes a difference? We need to find out why the Debian package causes SIGILL and we still don't know why.
