This fix looks like an application of a fix that was made to some of the
NIS services where errno values altered by a signal hander could cause
the error handling code to get confused, thinking something catastrophic
had gone wrong (for example, replacing EINTR with something else).

I can't see any similar checks in the portmap code, though.
