It's not clear to me that we need to disturb etch to fix this. It's "just" a race in a regression test, and I *think* 1.16 is built for all the architectures that matter for etch release, isn't it? If not, I'm certainly willing to apply the patch and upload this. Packaging 1.16.1 for unstable clearly makes sense, and I'll try to do that tonight or tomorrow.
