Few minutes ago I realized (thanks to bugreport 411437) that my package luasocket used to install the .pc file in /usr/lib/pkg-config instead of /usr/lib/pkgconfig. The bug is marked as severity: important, but I'm not completely convinced it is not RC.
In case it is, I've just uploaded to unstable luasocket_2.0.1-2_amd64.changes that fixes the problem (and in case it is needed could be recompiled for testing without modifications).
