The 'fsl' package only provides /usr/bin symlinks for all tools in the 'fsl-4.1' package -- users do not need to have them, that is merely a convenience package that avoids configuring the environment manually. Due to a number of rather generic names multiple file conflicts with other packages exists -- none of them can be dealt with using the alternatives system. It was my impression that a package conflict would be appropriate, since the only other possibility would be to not have such a package at all. Moreover, the scope of any of these packages makes it rather unlikely that they get installed on the same system.
