I don't have any sound argument against that. Its simply a matter of timing. I was planning to upload the new version last weekend, but the freeze happened before that. If I had known the freeze was coming, I would have worked on it 3 days earlier, and it would have gone in. I would prefer to get the newer upstream version into this release, but I can understand the rational for not doing so.
