openscenegraph 3.2.1-5 fixed crash bug #765855, but as the fix is in an
inline method, a rebuild of simgear is needed to pick it up.
nmu simgear_3.0.0-6 . ALL . -m "Rebuild to pick up fix for #765855"
(You might want to do the other reverse dependencies as well: while
simgear is the only one that we know is affected, it's possible that
others are.
Also, I'm not the maintainer of either package: can anyone ask or is the
name binNMU a historical leftover?)

Can somebody who knows the packages better (i.e. not me) please check and
file additional bugs if they are?

Yes.

It's an NMU because the changelog of the binary package gets appended to by
the build machine, which is obviously not the package maintainer.
