Hello! A new upstream release of givaro (version 4.0.1) which bumps the SONAME has recently been packaged and uploaded to experimental. Therefore, I am requesting a transition slot. There is currently only one reverse dependency: linbox. Linbox is RC buggy and not in testing. The version currently in sid fails to build with the new version of givaro (it requires givaro version 3.7.0). But a new upstream version of linbox exists which should work -- I plan to package this in the near future. Note that linbox is also part of the ntl transition (#829371). There are also two reverse build-dependencies: libm4rie and fflas-ffpack. A test build of libm4rie with the new version of givaro worked without problems. The fflas-ffpack in sid fails to build, but like linbox, it requires an earlier version of givaro. Also like linbox, there is a new upstream version available which should work and that I plan to package soon. Note that the givaro -> fflas-ffpack -> linbox dependency chain are all maintained by the same team upstream [1]. Thanks!
