I don't know exactly the environment you are working in, but as far as I know the problem is caused by a change of the elf magic number for s390. You need a kernel, modutils and binutils, gcc, if you are going to compile, that support this new and the old number. Kernel 2.2.19 and matching modutils should be fine. Latest gcc and binutils patches from the IBM Developerworks side should also be okay, even for 2.95.2. Gerhard
