Hi! git currently fails to build from source on all big-endian targets due to test suite failures. This includes powerpc, ppc64, sparc64 and s390x which is why this bug has severity serious [1]. There have been testsuite failures on big-endian in the past before, see [2]. I will also notify upstream.
