Dear debian-science team, I am looking for a sponsor for the package "gbutils", a collection of command-line utilities for econometrics. Below, you can find my initial request to debian-mentors.
The package admittedly targets a niche of users (economists who know how to use a command line!), but it is used and developed actively since at least 2003 (and Debian packages have been provided upstream since several years, too). I personally know the upstream developer and I can guarantee that he is very dedicated to the software - a couple of small problems that emerged during the packaging process were fixed within few hours, I am available for any further info. Pietro P.S: please CC: me, as I am not subscribed to the list. ------- Messaggio inoltrato ------- > Da: Pietro Battiston <[email protected]> > A: [email protected] > Oggetto: RFS: gbutils/5.6.6-1 [ITP] > Data: Mon, 15 Jun 2015 16:11:53 +0200 > > Package: sponsorship-requests > Severity: wishlist > > Dear mentors, > > I am looking for a sponsor for my package "gbutils" > > * Package name : gbutils > Version : 5.6.6-1 > Upstream Author : Giulio Bottazzi > * URL : http://cafed.sssup.it/software/gbutils/gbutils.html > * License : GPL-2+ > Section : science > > It builds those binary packages: > > gbutils - utilities for command line econometrics > > To access further information about this package, please visit the > following URL: > > http://mentors.debian.net/package/gbutils > > > Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this > command: > > dget -x \ > http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/gbutils/gbutils_5.6.6-1.dsc > > or the packaging git repository with > > git clone git://anonscm.debian.org/collab-maint/gbutils.git > > > Regards, > > Pietro Battiston -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
