I've also asked to be added to the R team. We have been running Scientific Linux so far. Over the last few years I have created hundreds of R and python packages for SL. These were never really easily accessible to the outside world. Now that we are moving to Ubuntu and the packaging system is a lot saner I decided to make all my packaging effort as public as possible. Having said that, I hope I will need to do less packaging (one of huge the benifits of using debian/ubuntu). To some extend I will wait for user requests for packages and deal with them as requried. I will make a start with hd5r Regards magnus The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, with registration number SC005336.
