Clarification -- the ps -ax command worked -- now I am back to my original question -- How long do I wait with the cursor flashing for this thing to finish initalizing the swap partition? It has been about an hour, so it may be just a bit of impatience on my part.
Additional info: Linux native partition starts at sector 0 Linux swap has a -q flag on it (?) whole disk is only other partition Am able to 'ls' and look at read-only file system, though I haven't tried to move around in it. probe-scsi returned normal -- as far as I can tell (and that is'nt a very long trip) all of the settings are correct. ty C. ----- Original Message ----- From: C.
