I tried to install sarge on vmware 4.0. I wanted to do a netinstall using the sarge-i386-netinst.iso from 9 July 2003. These were the findings:
- pcnet32 (The vmware AMD network card) was not detected, or better there was no module for this card
- framebuffer did not work. Apparently the installer CD lacked necessary modules
After this I stopped.
Aren't the netinstall isos ready for testing?
